SHCC MEMBER NEWS

:: La Familia Counseling Center's Adopt-A-Child Family Program Seeks Donations.

Line
For the past 34 years, La Familia Counseling Center has sponsored an Adopt-A-Child Family Program for Christmas.  Every year they have experienced an increase in the number of families in need.

La Familia Counseling Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization, funding is restricted for the specific program activities.  La Familia’s funding does not provide funds for the extra needs of our families and so they turn to the generous support of our community.

As in the past, they hope to have one new gift per child.  The gifts will go to children who would not receive a gift if not for the support and generosity of individuals like yourself.  As done every year, they can provide a list of names of children in need, items requested and their sizes.  Names will be available for you after November 20, 2007.   Please call Phyllis at 452-3601, if you have questions or for a list of names and items requested.  If you prefer, you can make your donation with a check, payable to La Familia Counseling Center, Inc., staff will do the shopping for you.

The only other date you must be aware of is that the gifts must be in their office on or before December 17, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. for the distribution process.

Thank you for your support and kindness.  Working together we make a difference.

Sincerely,
Anita Ramos Barnes, M.A.
Executive Director
